For example, being on certain medications for high blood pressure or diabetes would result in clearance for 1 year on your medical certificate. As another example, if your blood pressure or blood sugar are not regulated and are too high, then you might be given a 3-month medical certificate so that you can seek appropriate medical treatment for those conditions and be re-evaluated at the end of the 3-month period.
